It was a busy weekend for the Fence & Deck team! In Annapolis, Maryland, St. Patrick’s Day goes beyond March 17th. In fact, it’s celebrated for two weeks.
We kicked things off Saturday, March 7th with the St. Patrick’s Day Hooley at Annapolis City Dock — an evening of traditional Irish food, festivities and shenanigans. We were proud to not only donate all of the perimeter fencing for the event, but also sponsor the main stage for the wonderful music played all night long! This year’s lineup included Spinphony, The Chesapeake Caledonian Pipes & Drums, Dublin 5, and the Natptown Brass Band. Proceeds from the event benefited the Annapolis Police Foundation and one of our charitable partners, Warrior Events. After a delicious meal, beverages, music and dancing, the night ended with a classic Naptown Brass Band procession to the after party at Armadillos.
The fun didn’t stop there! On Sunday, March 8th, we managed to drag ourselves out of bed for another action-packed afternoon. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for a parade. With the help of our friends and family, the Fence & Deck Connection team set up three floats, two of which we sponsored for two amazing organizations — The Blue Ribbon Project and Warrior Events. Mozaic rocked out on the third float, providing live music to the masses. Decked out in green, we walked (and marched) the streets of Annapolis all the way to City Dock for the “Shamrock the Dock” after party. Dublin 5 joined the Fence & Deck stage for another great performance to close out the first weekend of Annapolis’ St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Our team needed a few extra cups of coffee this Monday morning, but we’re already looking forward to next year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Let the countdown begin!
