When many of our clients purchase a home in a new builder community, they’re left with the opportunity to design an additional space that will add value to their home and ample room to relax and entertain. We were pleased to complete this massive, beautiful Trex deck earlier this summer!
One of our skilled Project Consultants, Steven Nehus, met with our Harford County clients to design a new space that would become a true extension of their home. An appointment with our Sales team is the first step to beginning any project, and it’s during this this consultation where many families learn about the various deck options and decide which material works best within their budget and for their overall aesthetic.
With a clean slate to work from, our hardworking crews constructed two decks connected by a seam board — 20’ x 13’ and 14.8’ x 19’ — with two 4’ x 3’ landings and sets of stairs. The end result is 569 sq. ft. Of Trex Transcend decking in the always gorgeous Spiced Rum color — a perfect hue to accompany fall decor! Trex Transcend composite decking is resistant to mold, stains, scratches, and sun fading, making it a perfect option for active families who will love to entertain for years to come.
To bring together the dark deck with the white house, we added a white Lincoln-style railing with black aluminum balusters. A 4” cap rail in the matching Spiced Rum color. The addition of a railing cap offers a more finished look, and provides a nice space for potted plants or setting down drinks. The deck was then wrapped with white vinyl fascia and capped with Cortex plugs. For an absolutely clean finish, all support posts and beams were also wrapped with white vinyl fascia.
We were thrilled with how this Trex deck turned out and our customers were too — just take a look at their glowing review below:
“Steve, TJ, and crew were very professional. If I had question or concerns, it was handled. There was no pushing around to another department. I am satisfied with the service I received from Fence and Deck Connection. My new deck looks amazing!” – Keun K. of Abingdon, Maryland
