There are numerous reasons why many of our Maryland clients make the switch from wood decking to composite decking. With TimberTech decking, you can enjoy long-lasting, low-maintenance beauty for decades to come. Unlike wood decking that will rot and warp over time, TimberTech composite decking is extremely resistant to moisture intrusion as there are no wood or mineral fillers in the 4-sided cap. It’s also designed to retain color and is resistant to stain damage with a protected, cleanable surface.
Our clients in Centreville, Maryland wanted to invest in a much needed upgrade for their beautiful outdoor space. Their spacious deck was in rough shape, and they decided to make the switch from wood decking to composite. Tracy Ours, one of our knowledgeable Project Consultants met with these Eastern Shore homeowners to discuss their vision for the re-decking project. Once the design was approved, our hardworking crews were able to get to work.
BEFORE:
After removing the wooden deck boards, we inspected the frame to ensure it was safe, sturdy, and free of any rot to support the new composite decking. We then installed 550 sq. ft. of TimberTech Reserve decking in Antique Leather with a feature board and seam board in the complementary Dark Roast. We love pairing these two colors together!
White aluminum Victorian-style Ultralox railing and black aluminum balusters enclose the new space and replace the old rope railings. Textured white vinyl fascia with cortex plugs to hide the screws offers a clean, finished look. Last but not least, new stairs were added with a grab rail on both sides for extra safety.
