An old, weathered deck can drastically age a home and can kill its curb appeal. While keeping up with general cleaning and maintenance can help wooden decks last for years, many homeowners decide to make the switch to composite decking for long lasting beauty and durability. Our customers in Rosedale, Maryland wanted to spruce up their backyard space and create a new deck that didn’t waste state on an unusable hot tub.
With the help of Steve Nehus, our Baltimore County residents designed a modern, spacious, and affordable composite deck that undoubtedly gives this home and backyard a facelift.
Before:
Our skilled, hardworking crews removed and hauled away the existing wooden deck, as well as the hot tub, before building a new 16′ x 12′ structure to support beautiful Trex Enhance decking in the Saddle hue — an easy-to-match shade of medium brown, featuring a low-maintenance, wood-like grain pattern. The Trex Enhance Basics line offers the durability of composite, the affordability of wood, and fade and stain protections, as well as enhanced mold and mildew resistance, to make maintenance simple.
White Washington-style railing with black aluminum balusters safely enclose the space, and the deck is wrapped with white vinyl fascia for a clean, finished look. 14 new steps were installed leading up to a 4′ x 4′ landing adjacent to the main deck space. The end result is a beautiful, modern deck that complements the style and personality of the home!
