David King, one of Fence & Deck Connection’s experienced Project Consultants worked with homeowners in PG County to breathe new life into their existing outdoor space. Using the existing frame, we upgraded their aging wooden deck using long-lasting composite material. The end result is a spacious, modern deck that complements the home and the siding beautifully!
Before: Wood Deck
After: Trex Deck in Toasted Sand
We removed and hauled away the existing deck boards, railings and stairs before replacing the wood decking. First, we added an additional 72 square feet to the structure, providing more room for entertaining. We then installed a total of 252 sq. ft. of Trex decking in the Toasted Sand color. Toasted Sand, is a tawny seashell brown with subtle dark-brown splashes, featuring a low-maintenance, wood-like grain pattern.
We enclosed the space with white vinyl Washington-style railing and black aluminum balusters. 4 white solar post cap lights were installed on the stair posts to illuminate the area for safety during nighttime use. White vinyl risers and white vinyl fascia completes the project for a clean, finished look.
