If you’re looking to invest in an outdoor space, you may have weighed the pros and cons of a stone or paver patio vs. a wood or composite deck. While there are many factors to take into consideration, there are definitely some major pros about choosing to install a deck. Patios are generally less expensive than decks, but the ROI on a new deck addition runs much greater than one on a patio. Since a patio’s surface is exposed to harsh weather, it can be stained with mud, mildew and other natural stains such as leaves, unlike composite decking materials, like TimberTech!
Tracy Ours, one of Fence & Deck Connection’s talented Sales Consultants, worked with homeowners in Centreville, Maryland to reimagine their outdoor space. By transforming the shaded outdoor furniture area into an actual raised deck, our Eastern Shore customers are able to have a more cohesive relaxing, dining, and entertaining space directly outside their door!
Before:
Our hardworking crews installed a new 16 x 22′ deck using TimberTech Reserve decking in the Dark Roast hue. The Reserve collection is more durable and slip-resistant and comes in four on-trend colors. The 4-sided cap contains no wood for best fade and stain resistance in its category. The collection’s classic cathedral wood grain pattern is inspired by rough wire-brushed, reclaimed wood. With a duo-tone matte finish, Dark Roast boards provide a beautiful blend of natural, traditional beauty with an elegant modern twist.
A matching Dark Roast feature board and fascia provides a clean, uniform look, and black Alta-style aluminum railing encloses the raised space. Four stairs to grade with picture-framed ends lead down to the stone patio and backyard area. While the original patio area provided a beautiful shaded outdoor living room, the new deck is a true extension of the home’s living space!
After:
The new deck looks great and we’re happy our customers think so too! Happy with their experience, our Centreville customers left a glowing review:
“The crew that worked on our deck deserves a huge thank you. They worked non stop in the brutal heat to get the project completed in 3 days. John, our Project Manager, was great to deal with and far exceeded our expectations. We appreciate the job done by John and the crew and will most definitely be recommending Fence & Deck Connection to friends and neighbors. Thank you for a great job!”
