Brian Hannon, one of Fence & Deck Connection’s knowledgeable Project Consultants, met with homeowners in Harwood, Maryland to discuss their vision for their new front porch, as their wood porch was showing signs of age. During that initial meeting, our Sales Consultants go over product recommendations and provide various color options of composite decking in various price points. Before:
While deck removal is something our crews can accomplish before the installation of a new deck, some customers may opt to take on that initial task themselves. This was the case for this project — once the frame and deck boards were removed, our crews stepped in and also removed the support beams, posts, and roof support posts before raising temporary supports. We then installed 388 sq. ft. of Trex Enhance decking in the Toasted Sand hue with matching feature and seam boards. Trex decking is designed for maximum durability. It resists fading, staining, scratching and mold and won’t rot, crack or warp, regardless of harsh weather conditions or daily wear and tear. It’s insect-proof and splinter-free, making it safer and more comfortable for families with kids and pets.

White vinyl railing with black round aluminum spindles enclose the front porch, and white vinyl fascia and wraps complete the new, clean and polished look. 2′ white diagonal lattice adorns the deck’s lower half, with one gate allowing for under-deck access. One set of five 7′ wide steps lead up to the porch and are illuminated by ten black Pyxis riser lights — a beautiful safety feature in the nighttime!
