This week, we’re featuring a Trex Lineage deck installed in Arnold, Maryland paired with durable, yet stunning TimberTech Premier railing with cable rail. With the design help of Project Consultant Jeff Gottleib, our Anne Arundel County clients transformed their front deck into a work of art and a lovely backdrop to welcome guests!
We demoed and hauled away the existing front deck before constructing a new 23′ x 11′ pressure treated wood frame with a rear beam. We then installed Trex Lineage ‘Jasper’ decking using hidden fasteners. A deep shade of mocha, Jasper is reminiscent of old-growth forests and rocky mountainsides, with its rich umber hue and delicate streaking. The Trex Lineage line is comprised of lighter, calming tones with subtle streaking, and is specifically engineered to to be cooler under the sun. As with all Trex decking, the Lineage line is from an innovative blend of 95% reclaimed wood and plastic film, and its low-maintenance material cleans easily with just soap and water!
This deck is unique in that it also was installed with another leader in composite decking and railings — TimberTech. Flat white TimberTech Premier railing with cable rail safely encloses the home’s outdoor space. Timbertech Lighted Island post caps in matte finish top all posts, for a beautiful entry point in the nighttime. Cable deck railing is perfect for homeowners who want to enjoy gorgeous views while maintaining safety and durability. In general, cable deck railing offers unobstructed views and clear night lines from your deck, allowing you to fully appreciate your surroundings without bulky materials.
