Weathered Oak Deck in Sykesville

When you decide it’s time to replace a wood or composite deck, you are left with several choices for your outdoor makeover. Choosing a wood deck results in a classic and timeless natural look, but it does require lots of maintenance to keep it looking in tip-top shape. If you choose composite, there are several other design options to consider, including color options, wood grain patterns, and price points that fit within your budget!

When homeowners in Carroll County contacted Fence & Deck Connection, they knew they wanted to re-design their weathered mixed-material deck with low-maintenance composite decking. With the help of Project Consultant Chad Costello, our Sykesville customers reimagined their outdoor space using TimberTech Terrain+ Weathered Oak. The neutral gray shade complements a wide range of outdoor aesthetics, from coastal to contemporary styles!

BEFORE:

We first removed and hauled away the existing deck, railing, frame, and boards. We then replaced the large outdoor space with a 540 sq. ft of pressure treated wood deck framing, complete with TimberTech Terrain+ decking in Weathered Oak. With new and improved color blending technology, the composite boards in the TimberTech Terrain+ collection deliver sophisticated colors with a subtle grain pattern like sanded white oak and walnut for a versatile, natural wood look.In particular, Weathered Oak is a beautiful blend of light gray and warm tones for a perfect weathered look.

White vinyl Washington-style vinyl railing with round black aluminum balusters enclose the space, with white vinyl textured fascia adorning the perimeter of the deck. We installed one gate at the top of a staircase comprised of thirteen picture-framed steps in the matching Weathered Oak boards.
