When customers decide on composite decking, our Project Consultants discuss the various collections within a brand’s portfolio. There are many options to choose from based on color preference, board design and grain pattern, and most importantly, budget. Fence & Deck Connection Project Consultant Kevin Bullion met with our Columbia, Maryland clients to help transform their wood deck into a larger, more maintenance-friendly composite deck. After reviewing all options, homeowners chose to design their deck using top-of-the-line TimberTech AZEK decking!
TimberTech AZEK decking is truly the best of the best in decking, with capped polymer boards featuring sophisticated, natural-looking colors and a subtle wire-brushed, low-gloss finish for an authentic wood look. Boasting the most powerful core and cap technology in the industry, this “Designer Series” of decking makes it easy to transform your outdoor living space into a masterpiece.
Take a look at the makeover below!
Before:
We first removed and hauled away the existing deck, before building a 510 sq. ft. free-standing deck. We then installed TimberTech AZEK decking on the free-standing construction. From the Vintage Collection, Weathered Teak is a beautiful light brown shade that looks so much like real wood. Color matching seam and feature boards complete the surface area, and a diagonal pattern in the corner deck section offers a beautiful accent and focal point. White Washington-style vinyl railings with black aluminum balusters safely enclose the space, and one 4′ wide set of steps lead down to the yard.
