When you decide to fence in your yard, there are different materials to choose from: vinyl, pressure treated wood, aluminum, and chain link. While chain link is the most budget friendly of the options, it certainly doesn’t give the privacy or security of a wooden or vinyl fence. And unlike wood fencing, vinyl fencing is a lower maintenance material because it does not peel, fade, warp, rot or chip. Project Consultant David King worked with homeowners in Bowie, Maryland who came to Fence & Deck Connection looking to beautify their yard using vinyl privacy fencing — a major upgrade from the dilapidating wood fencing that surrounded that enclosed their yard.
Before:
We first removed the existing wood fencing, as well as an emptied shed on the fence line, careful not to remove or damage any fencing on the neighboring property line. This made room to install 255 linear feet of 6′ tall white vinyl Tongue & Groove. White vinyl Nexus runners and an aluminum channel in the bottom runner provides extra strong, long-lasting framework.
Wood fencing requires yearly maintenance, and can share signs of rot and wear over time. Vinyl fences, on the other hand, are extremely sturdy and can easily withstand wear, tear, and natural elements. They can even minimize damage to your garden or lawn furniture during high winds or severe storms. Take a look at the yard’s transformation below!
