Homeowners in rural areas or on large properties may initially opt out of a fenced in yard, choosing to admire the unrestricted view of the landscape and scenery. However installing a fence can offer significant benefits, including increased privacy which creates a more secluded and comfortable outdoor space. It also enhances security by acting as a physical barrier, helping to keep trespassers out (especially wild animals) and preventing pets or children from wandering off. Beyond practicality, fences can improve the aesthetic appeal of the property and even boost its value, making them a smart investment both for everyday living and long-term financial gain.
Homeowners on Maryland’s Eastern Shore reached out to Fence & Deck Connection with the desire to create a more permanent and noticeable boundary for their spacious backyard. Project Consultant Tracy Ours helped design a beautiful fenced in yard for their Church Hill home using 4′ tall white vinyl privacy fencing.
BEFORE:
We installed approximately 384 linear feet of 4′ tall white vinyl privacy fencing with one 5′ wide walk and one 10′ wide double gate to match. For extra strength and support, we installed a Top Rail Tie (TRT) plate in each post to minimize separation in high winds. We also installed aluminum inserts in the hinge posts on both gates.
