Trex Townhome Deck in Pasadena, Maryland: Makeover Monday

This week’s Makeover Monday is a beautiful townhome deck transformation out of Pasadena, Maryland using Trex composite decking. Homeowners in Anne Arundel County contacted Fence & Deck Connection looking for a bit of an outdoor makeover. Their existing wood deck was outdated and weathered, and was not entirely sturdy and safe. Jeff Gottleib one of Fence & Deck Connection’s experienced Sales Consultants worked with our clients to transform their outdoor space into one with composite materials that requires far less maintenance and allows for maximum enjoyment! Trex composite decking is resistant to warping, rotting, staining, or fading!

BEFORE:

We first demoed and hauled away the existing wooden deck, before constructing a new 24′ by 12′ pressure treated wood frame. We then installed Trex Rocky Harbor decking. A contemporary changing neutral, Rocky Harbor adds sandy undertones to a rustic slate grey, featuring a low-maintenance, wood-like grain pattern. This hue belongs to Trex’s Enhance collection, which offers an authentic wood-grain appearance with the durability of composite and the affordability of wood. Enhance decking boards are scalloped, making them as lightweight as lumber—without the extra work. This long-lasting decking requires little upkeep and comes in seven colors and Rocky Harbor is one of our in stock colors now on sale this September!

Black aluminum Alta-style railing replaces the dated wooden railing for extra-strength security. A 12′ wide vinyl privacy panel in Ash Gray on the neighboring side of the townhome complements the Rocky Harbor deck boards. With townhouses being close together, outdoor privacy is a coveted commodity, and privacy panels are a great addition for daytime entertaining or nighttime gatherings!

One set of 4′ wide steps lead down to the yard below and matching Rocky Harbor fascia wraps the deck creating a clean, finished look!
